# What do I need? — PPTControl

One app on your phone. One app on your computer.

## Install both apps

- **Phone or tablet:** PPTControl for iPhone, iPad, or Android. This is your remote.
- **Windows PC or Mac:** PPTControl Desktop on the computer running your presentation.

**No account required.** Your presentation stays on your computer.

## Connect the two devices

- Open PPTControl on your phone and select your computer in the device list. **Bluetooth must be on for both devices.**
- Approve the request on your computer.

For slide previews, PPTControl tries to connect automatically. If previews don’t load, [use the same Wi-Fi or your phone’s hotspot](https://pptcontrol.app/Help?guide=hotspot).

If your computer isn’t listed, [scan its pairing QR code instead](https://pptcontrol.app/Help?guide=wifi).

Basic control works without shared Wi-Fi. Internet is needed for downloads and store purchases.
