# Connect with Bluetooth — PPTControl

Original guide: https://pptcontrol.app/Help?guide=bluetooth

Change slides without shared Wi-Fi.

## 1. Open both apps

- Open **PPTControl** on your phone and **PPTControl Desktop** on your computer.
- Turn **Bluetooth on** on both devices and keep them nearby.
- Allow **Bluetooth** or **Nearby devices** access when asked.

**Android 11 or earlier:** also allow Location and turn the phone’s Location setting on. PPTControl does not collect your location. [Google explains why Bluetooth needs Location permission →](https://developer.android.com/develop/connectivity/bluetooth/bt-permissions?hl=en#declare-android11-or-lower)

## 2. Select the computer in PPTControl

- In the **Connect** tab, tap your computer’s name.
- **Approve the request on the computer**, if shown. On Mac, click **Yes** near the menu-bar icon. On Windows, look in the center of the screen.

**Do not pair in the system’s Bluetooth settings.** If you already paired there, remove only that phone–computer pairing on both devices, then reconnect inside PPTControl.

## 3. Try a slide change

Start the slideshow on your computer and tap the **right arrow** on your phone.

- **Speaker notes:** can work over Bluetooth with Pro and a supported presentation app.
- **Slide images:** need a local network. Bluetooth alone cannot send them.

**Computer missing or connection unstable?** [Connect with Wi-Fi and a QR code →](https://pptcontrol.app/Help?guide=wifi) Some Windows Bluetooth adapters do not support the mode PPTControl needs.
