Check the approval request, then Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

## Check the request on your computer

- **Request waiting?** Approve your own phone or tablet on the computer. On Mac, look near the PPTControl icon in the menu bar and click **Yes**. On Windows, look for the request **in the center of the screen**.
- **No request?** In the PPTControl Desktop menu, enable **Allow New Pairing Requests** and try connecting again.

## Using Wi-Fi or a QR code?

Connect both devices to the **same local network**, such as your Wi-Fi or **your phone’s hotspot**.

### Show the code on your computer

In the PPTControl Desktop menu, choose **Show Pairing QR Code** and keep the window open.

### Scan it in PPTControl

On your phone, open PPTControl and tap **Scan QR Code**. Point the scanning frame at the code on your computer. Scan again after changing Wi-Fi.

### Try another address

Still not connecting? Open the **address list below the QR code** on your computer. Choose another available address, then **scan the updated code**.

Check [local-network permissions on your phone](https://pptcontrol.app/Help?guide=phone-permissions) and, on Windows, [firewall access for PPTControl Desktop](https://pptcontrol.app/Help?guide=windows-firewall).

- **Restart both devices**, then select your computer in the device list **inside PPTControl**.
