# Give your first presentation — PPTControl

Start the slideshow, change slides, and use a projector.

## 1. Start your presentation



### Connect your devices

### Choose the presentation app

Open your deck on the computer and choose the matching **Presenter App** in PPTControl Desktop.

### Start the slideshow

For a detected PowerPoint or Keynote deck, tap the **large play button** in PPTControl. [Start Google Slides in the browser on the computer](https://pptcontrol.app/Help?guide=google-slides).

**Using a projector, TV, or external monitor?** Connect it to the computer as usual. PPTControl controls the presentation app; it does not stream video to the display.

## 2. Change slides

- **Right arrow:** next presentation step.
- **Left arrow:** previous presentation step.

These slide controls are free. Animations may need another press before the next slide appears. Keep PPTControl open, PPTControl Desktop running, and the computer’s slideshow in front.

The presentation timer shows elapsed time. Test both arrows before your talk.

## 3. Finish and adjust the controls

Tap **End Slideshow** at the top to stop the slideshow on the computer. You can start it again afterward.
