# The QR code does not connect — PPTControl

Original guide: https://pptcontrol.app/Help?guide=qr-code

Fix missing codes, camera access, network addresses, and browser links.

## No QR code on your computer?

In PPTControl Desktop’s menu, choose **Show Pairing QR Code**.

- **No network connection / Waiting for a network address?** Connect the computer to Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or your phone’s hotspot.
- **Local network access is blocked?** Check the firewall or ask your network administrator.

## Code won’t scan?

- Open **Scan QR Code** in PPTControl’s device list.
- **Allow camera access.** Hold the phone steady with the whole code in view.
- Use the **current pairing code** from PPTControl Desktop. Avoid download codes and old screenshots.

**Still not scanning in PPTControl?** Try your phone’s normal **Camera** app:

- Point it at the **current pairing code on your computer**.
- **Tap the link that appears.** PPTControl may open directly.
- If a pairing page opens in the browser, tap **Open PPTControl**. The mobile app must be installed.

## A browser opens instead?

On the pairing page, tap **Open PPTControl**.

- **App missing?** [Install PPTControl](https://pptcontrol.app/Help?guide=downloads) on your phone first.
- **Nothing opens?** Open PPTControl and use its **Scan QR Code** button.

## Code scans, but won’t connect?

Both devices need the **same local network**: Wi-Fi or **your phone’s hotspot**. Scanning the code does not connect them to Wi-Fi.

- On your computer, open the **address list below the QR code**.
- Choose another available address on the shared Wi-Fi or Ethernet network.
- **Scan the updated code** in PPTControl.
