# Set up & use Wear OS — PPTControl

Original guide: https://pptcontrol.app/Help?guide=wear-os

Your watch controls the presentation through your Android phone.

## 1. Connect your Android phone

Install or update PPTControl on the Android phone paired with your watch. [Connect the phone to your presentation computer](https://pptcontrol.app/Help?guide=setup&phone=android) and test a slide change.

Wear OS uses your phone’s connection. It does not connect directly to the computer or work through an iPhone.

## 2. Install PPTControl on the watch

Open **Google Play** on your Wear OS watch, search for **PPTControl**, and install it. Open PPTControl on both the phone and watch and keep them nearby.

Wear OS 3 or later is required. Check Google Play for the current requirements.

## 3. Control your presentation

- Use **Previous** and **Next** to change slides.
- **Swipe up** to reach **More**, then choose **Notes** or **Slides**.
- Browse the slides, then **tap a slide** to show it on the computer. Scrolling alone does not change the audience’s slide.

Notes and the slide browser require **PPTControl Pro on your Android phone** and a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation. [Slide images also need the phone and computer on the same local network](https://pptcontrol.app/Help?guide=slide-previews).

## 4. If the watch does not connect

Open PPTControl on the paired phone and check that a slide button works there. Keep the phone and watch nearby, open the watch app again, and update both apps if needed.
