Approve or remove a paired device

Control which phones can connect to your computer.

1. Approve a new device

  1. In the desktop menu, enable Allow New Pairing Requests.
  2. Connect from your phone through the device list or scan the desktop QR code.
  3. Approve your own phone’s request. On Mac, click Yes near the menu-bar icon. On Windows, look in the center of the screen.

Accept only a device you recognize.

On Mac, click Yes to allow your own phone or tablet to connect.
Windows visual guide
On Windows, click Yes to allow your own phone’s request in the center of the screen.

“Connection rejected by server”? The request may have been declined or new pairing disabled. Enable new requests and try again.

2. After approval

  • Known devices: normally stay remembered and can connect again.
  • Approval appears again? Reinstalling an app, clearing its data, or removing a paired device can require fresh approval.
  • Only your existing devices should connect? You can disable new pairing requests. Previously approved devices can still connect.

3. Remove a device

  1. In PPTControl Desktop, open Manage Paired Devices (or Paired devices on Windows).
  2. Select and remove the specific device you no longer use.

It will need approval to connect again. This list is separate from the system’s Bluetooth pairing list.
